| Description | Human‐elephant conflict in and around the Quirimbas is widespread and of major political concern. This fuelled by presidential attendance calling for immediate actions to address the conflict fuelled small scaled initiatives to reduce conflict. Motivated by the lack of information on spatial utilization of elephants in the park and political pressure to find solutions for the conflict, we designed the present project to obtain quantitative information on spatial utilization and the determinants thereof, with emphasis on identifying the existence of corridors that may link elephants from the Quirimbas with other populations in the region. |
